I was stuck at home this weekend, working, and didn’t expect to have fun at all. Then 2 hours before midnight I get a call from Ly who just arrived from a 3 month vacation in the US and with him was my new slik mini II tripod. It’s a gift from a very generous frat brother based in the US and Ly served as the messenger, hehe!
Ly and I went to Bo’s where I unboxed the tripod.
Ly and the tripod. I love the size of the Slik mini II and it’s very light, weighing only 2.2kg with a maximum height of 109 cm. With legs folded it’s only 5.9cm, almost the same height as my Asus k42f laptop. Sweet!
I was still hungry and was craving for rice so we went to Greenbelt 3 only to find out that most of the restos are closed already, of course it was 1 in the morning too. Perfectly understandable. The coffeeshops were still open though so we went to Seattle’s Best, our second coffeeshop for the night. The almond mocha joy is really good and has become one of my favorite drinks at Seattle’s Best ever since Ly discovered it last June.
I ordered pasta amatriciana but didn’t really like it that much. Ly ordered the sausage omelette and toast. I loved the french toast, it had cinnamon and lots of white sugar which I really really liked. Ly seems to have good luck when ordering at Seattle’s Best. He always ends up ordering food and coffee that tastes better. Haha.
Ly with Spence, my camera without a memory card. Haha. It’s funny because before Ly went to the States we had coffee at Seattle’s also and Spence was with me but I forgot to bring the memory card. 3 months later and still at Seattle’s best, Spence was with me but was missing the memory card again. LOL.
So there. My boring weekend turned into a very happy one. I’m excited to use my new tripod in my next weekend escapade, which is barely 2 weeks away. I can’t wait, seriously!
