Flash flood hit parts of Davao City last Tuesday night and as of this writing 25 people have been declared dead and 15000 families have been displaced. Affected areas are Matina Pangi, Matina Aplaya, Bangkal (where we used to live), and Talomo, with water reaching up to 8 meters high.
Davao City is typhoon free so I was surprised and worried when some of my friends started posting about family being stranded on rooftops, waiting for rescue. My friends are safe but many have lost their homes and possessions.
