Unearthed: Himati in 2008 and 2009

I am in the middle of a design overhaul for one of the websites at work and it made me realize how disorganized I am with my files, especially the images. A portion of my time everyday is now spent organizing photos and files into folders, adding labels and tags to make searching easier when I stumbled into some old photos I had from my days at the university.

Hard to believe, but the school paper didn’t have an office of it’s own till the year after that. We were pretty mobile (lol!) — we would setup an office in the atrium, in one of the classrooms, and all nighters were spent at the ed in chief’s place. Hehe.

2009 was a bit better, thanks to the previous EIC’s efforts. :) Still no pc of our own but at least we had chairs, tables, mattresses and a room for the graphic arts team aka dan’s team.

Ah, fun times. I can’t help but marvel at how different we all look now. So where’s the gang nowadays?

• Pearl is in Manila and now works as a freelance writer. I still hang out with her when I can. :)
• Dan now works for an NGO and will take the board exam for architects soon. We usually bond over food when he’s in Manila.
• Jet is in Manila as well and is on his 3rd year at Ateneo Med.
• Lourdes is still based in Davao and taking up law at Ateneo De Davao University. I just saw her photos of the Enchanted River in Surigao and I’m so envious. Haha.
• Kat is a teacher in Malaysia. I hope to see her if my backpacking trip to Malaysia pushes through.
• Ly is in Butuan and will graduate this April.
• Bojie works as a graphics ed for M magazine. I saw him last December, at Jet’s party, and he looked the same.
• Lee is still in the university, making movies and writing scripts.
• Minin is still in the university also and switched courses from Communication Arts to Biology.

Me? Well, I’m still in Makati working and cranking out websites, a far cry from what I studied back at the university. :p
