Spent my birthday weekend in Naga and Donsol, Sorsogon where I crossed out one of the items on my bucket list: to swim with the whale sharks. It was AWESOME. I’ve never been so close to a very big animal and it was a great way to celebrate my birthday.
I tried wake boarding for the first time too and realized that my sense of balance is really funky. Lol. I did okay in knee boarding but I really sucked at wake boarding. I’d like to blame it on lack of sleep (D snores!) and being too tired, but we all were so it’s a lame excuse.
I had fun though. This trip also made me realize that I have a knack for planning budget trips. Thanks to my training in scouting, anthro, and the publication I guess.
I have more trips coming up and I can’t wait. Next stop is Sagada. Then Davao. After that it’s time for me to start planning my first solo backpacking trip. Wish me luck. I’ve been bitten by the travel bug, help! :p
