Fact 1 – I’m lazy which is why you probably won’t get me to move to a place far away from Makati (where our office is) even with the oh so tempting offer of ownership and a swimming pool. The pool over at MASA works just fine for me.
Fact 2 – Our place is about 10 minutes away from Ayala Ave, 5 minutes by cab without traffic.
Fact 3 – It takes two jeepney rides and a short walk to get to our office
Fact 4 – I’ve been taking the cab to work since I moved here in Makati. It started with our weird schedules over at People Support.
Fact 5 – I now work a more humane and commuter friendly schedule but I still take the cab because I’m always running late and cabs are more convenient.
Fact 6 – Cab flagged down rates just went up and it’s definitely not wallet friendly anymore.
So there. 6 facts that I have to deal with right now and I don’t like it one bit, especially the last one. I was happy with how things were and they had to go on and increase the fare. Yeah, yeah, my new jobs pays really well but still, the cab fare’s not that reasonable anymore. Guess I have to wake up early starting Monday and start taking the long route. I hate this.
