One of the things I love about the place I live in are the shops and food spots that abound in the area. 8065 Bagnet, for example is just a few houses away from our apartment. And of course there’s Saguijo, about 3 streets away where I could watch and listen to my favorite local bands play all night and morning.
Another place that I’ve been raving about is The Collective in Malugay St., and you guessed it, it’s just a few minutes away from my house too. I got to try their popular buffalo wings tonight and it was just perfect.
I love food, especially comfort food and Wingman I think is a place perfect for people who just want to hang out, let their hair down, and just relax. They have burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and chicken wings on their menu. Don’t bother thinking about all those calories, it’s comfort food–the greasier, the fattier, the better!
C and I tried their Fish and Chips and Buffalo Chicken wings, 210 and 180 for a half a dozen respectively. The buffalo wings were served along with the dip and carrot sticks. This dish was really good and way better than the ones they serve at Yellowcab. It wasn’t too spicy and the dip was a perfect match.
As for the Fish and Chips, it was equally good. Although of the two dips, I prefer the orange one. The chips could use more salt but that’s just me I guess, I’m big on salty food.
If I didn’t have work waiting for me at home I would have paired the two dishes with ice cold beer or maybe a glass of margarita but since I can’t, I opted for a can of coke while C had iced tea.
Will I go back? Definitely. I want to try their fried snickers (one of their desserts) and maybe I can have that margarita next time.
